An ex-wife has been applauded for throwing a party to celebrate the end of her marriage – but one detail has left her red-faced.

An ex-wife has been left red-faced after an embarrassing fail at her “divorce party”.

The unidentified woman threw herself a “stripper themed” bash to celebrate the end of her marriage.

The former bride even wore her old wedding dress to the party, writing the word “divorce” in thick blue marker pen across the front of the gown.

But a closer look at the handwritten message shows that she’s made an unfortunate mistake – misspelling the word “divorce” as “divorse”.

The image has been shared on Facebook, quickly going viral for all the wrong reasons.

“I’m sorry, but to be old enough to get divorced and not know how to spell it, is a big problem!” said one.

Added another: “Don’t you have to sign a lot of papers to get divorced? Surely she’s seen it written a few times.”

Said a third: “Congradulashions on your divorse!”

But many were quick to defend the woman’s spelling mix-up.

“Speaking from experience, once the divorce is final, she doesn’t care how it’s spelled. She’s just glad it’s over!” added another.
